The University of Tennessee Medical Center Opens Regional Health Center—Halls
Knoxville, Tennessee, February 28, 2023 – The University of Tennessee Medical Center (UTMC) has increased its commitment to better meet the health care needs of residents in Knox and surrounding counties by opening Regional Health Center—Halls. Located at 7326 Maynardville Pike, the facility offers the convenience of a variety of clinical and diagnostic services in one location with the expertise of trusted health care providers from the region’s academic medical center.
“Providing increased access to quality health care is one of our key strategic objectives,” said Joe Landsman, President and CEO at UTMC. “We’ve had a presence in Halls for a long time. This new facility expands the health care services we can now provide here. We’ve built this regional health center to better meet the community’s health care needs not only for primary care but also for more specialty and sub-specialty care including cancer care, pulmonology, cardiology, and women’s health in a way that’s both convenient and high quality.”
This new 53,000-square-foot, state-of-the art facility, will also offer colorectal, urology, urogynecology, gynecologic oncology, rheumatology, general surgery and vascular specialties, out-patient services including chemotherapy infusion, physical therapy, a sleep center as well as diagnostic services such as bone density, CT, ultrasound, echo-vascular ultrasound, mammography, MRI, pulmonary function testing, and X-ray.
Regional Health Center—Halls is the third regional health center the medical center has opened to better serve the region. UTMC first opened Regional Health Center—Sevierville in December 2014 and Regional Health Center—Lenoir City in December 2017.
