Transanal Hemorrhoidal Dearterialization

Overview

Transanal Hemorrhoidal Dearterialization is a minimally invasive surgery to treat hemorrhoids. During the surgery the surgeon ties off the arterial blood flow of the hemorrhoid, causing it shrink. No tissue is removed and any prolapse repairs or lifts are done at the same time. The procedure is an outpatient surgery and typically takes about 20-30 minutes.
