Raised in Knoxville, I received my undergraduate degree in biochemistry and cellular molecular biology from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, before earning my medical degree at The University of Tennessee Health Center in Memphis. I then went to Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical school in Providence, Rhode Island, for my orthopaedic surgery residency training as well as additional training in orthopaedic trauma through my first fellowship. I later completed a second fellowship at The University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where I underwent intensive training in hand surgery.
