Born and raised in Clarksville, TN with 4 siblings, I received my BS in Chemistry and Biology from Austin Peay State University, receiving the Drane Award for Outstanding Graduating Senior. My medical training was at Univ. TN Health Science Center in Memphis, attaining MD degree with highest honors, certification in Internal Medicine, Oncology and Hematology, and research at St. Judes Children's Research Center.
