Dr. Abraham is a Wisconsin native but grew up in Charleston, SC. She studied microbiology at Clemson University before returning home to Charleston for medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Abraham then completed residency at the Mountain Area Health Education Center in Hendsersonville, NC where she fell in love with the Blue Ridge mountains. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, boating and hiking with her husband, young daughter and 2 dogs. She is also a passionate fan (and part-owner) of the Green Bay Packers.

“I went in out of an abundance of caution after experiencing unusual and persistent chest pressure. I expected to be told it was stress related, even though I wasn't sure that was the reason, but Dr. Abraham was so thorough in ruling out all possible scenarios. I never felt written off or ignored; instead, I was very impressed by her determination to ensure everything was okay and her resistance to blaming stress for my symptoms. She's the kind of doctor you hope for when you have a problem!”

“I am involved in a disability case for my back injury. At my last physical the doctor in my opinion the doctor could have done more test such as asking me to take of my shirt to exam the my injury. She did rub her hands down my spine and notice I was in severe so she stopped. Which was all good however wish she would have taken my shirt off for physical to inspect with her eyes. I was happy she made 2 referrals to help look into the issue which I am thankful for. Dr Julia is very nice and professional. However maybe some more protocols for the office for someone involving a disability case tied to chronic pain.. I think the office maybe lacks some protocols or direction for doctors dealing with very unique cases. My case also involves lots on mental health concerns related to PTSD- Severe Traumatic- major depression disorder- and anxiety disorder. My case is very unique and sometimes needs more attention a direction. More protocols should be put in place to help more cases that are more complex in nature.”
