Dr. Zite grew up in the Chicago area and moved to Knoxville in 2004. Since arriving in Tennessee she has focused her work on patient care, medical education and reproductive health advocacy. She has two teenage boys, so she and her husband spend their time away from work running to various sporting activities and cheering on the Vols.
