Overview
Cancer of the urinary lining (bladder, ureter, and central portion of the kidney termed the renal pelvis) is extremely common in our region. Approximately 75,000 Americans are diagnosed with tumors of this subtype annually, a large percentage of which are located in the southeast. Transitional cell cancers can be highly aggressive and require an interdisciplinary team of skilled surgeons, radiation oncologists, and medical oncologists to offer the best opportunity for cure.
