  • Hearing loss
  • Cervicogenic dizziness

William D. Horton, II, MD serves as our medical consultant.  Weekly team member meetings ensure excellent multi-disciplinary communication.

The Balance and Hearing Center is designed to evaluate and treat patients who suffer from dizziness (vertigo), unsteadiness, falls or motion intolerance. We have treated more than 5,000 patients with dizziness or imbalance since we opened in March of 2003.

Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy

Vestibular Rehabilitation is a specific type of physical therapy designed to address the unique problems of patients who suffer from vertigo, dizziness or a sense of imbalance. Our physical therapists have been specifically trained to diagnose and treat Vestibular disorders, as well as balance disorders.

Who Can Benefit From Vestibular Rehabilitation?

  • People who suffer from vestibular disorders
  • People who have had a stroke, head injury or concussion, a history of inner ear problems or diabetes
  • Elderly people who are more likely to develop a balance problem due to decreased reaction times and movement speeds, medicines that damage the inner ear and other conditions that affect balance

We perform audiology evaluations on patients of all ages, including the first and largest newborn hearing screening program in East Tennessee. To prepare for your child’s audiology evaluation, please read the Audiology Evaluation guide.

Hearing Aids

We dispense hearing aids to adult patients in need of amplification. Loss of hearing can lead to social isolation, depression and decrease in a person’s quality of life. Today’s hearing aids offer more potential benefit for patients than ever before and enable many patients to reconnect to the world around them. We offer a range of hearing aids to fit your listening needs: digital hearing aids, directional microphones and deluxe feedback management systems are available. We are happy to offer complete services to our patients with hearing loss.
