About Us

University Pulmonary and Critical Care (UPCC) physicians and nurse practitioners specialize in diagnosing and treating critically ill hospitalized patients and managing pulmonary (lung) conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

For over 40 years, we have been proud to provide exceptional, compassionate care to our community. Our team of board-certified physicians and skilled advanced practice providers works closely with you, your family, and your primary care physician to ensure you receive the highest standard of care tailored to your needs. We are also committed to advancing the care and treatment of pulmonary diseases, incorporating the latest research and innovative therapies to improve patient outcomes.

In addition to our main office on campus, we offer convenient access to care through four outreach locations in the surrounding area: Northshore, Halls, Lenoir City, and Morristown. This network of offices allows us to better serve patients across the region, bringing expert care closer to home.

Our commitment to education is central to our mission. We work closely with medical students, residents, and fellows from the UT Graduate School of Medicine, providing them hands-on training in pulmonary and critical care medicine. This collaboration ensures that our team remains at the forefront of medical advancements while fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Our team is dedicated to delivering expert, compassionate care tailored to your unique needs, focusing on immediate treatment and long-term well-being.
